Methodology
Our Dealonomics report encompasses two research elements. An analysis from Bayes Business School on 896 cross-border M&A deals valued over US$100m across the following markets: the UK, US, France, Germany (as well as DACH), Italy, Spain, Benelux, Middle East & North Africa, the Nordics and Canada. The deals analysed cover the period 2018-2024. In addition, the research includes a global survey of 850 dealmakers from across seven markets (the UK, US, Germany, Austria, France, Netherlands and Canada) who work in buy-side, sell-side, MBOs or distressed M&A deals over US$100m in value. Research was conducted with a leading market research company, Potentia Insight. Respondents were recruited through an online research panel of over 65,000 business decision makers, targeting intermediaries at large investment banks and corporate finance advisory firms specialising in mergers and acquisitions. The survey was conducted between March and April 2025.
